Zadar and Zadar County
Web design in Zadar, Croatia
Web design in Zadar for apartments, trades and businesses. Fast custom sites, no templates. Over a hundred projects, clients from Nin and Biograd to Split and Zagreb.
Most quotes for a website in Zadar open with a price. We prefer to open with what the site has to do: bring guests to an apartment, sell a product, show work, cut down phone enquiries. That answer decides how many pages there are, whether a booking system is needed, how many languages, and whether a CMS makes sense.
We work out of Zadar, which in practice means we can meet in person, look at the property or workshop, and shoot the photos that are missing. When something breaks you call the person who built the site, not a ticket queue in another country.
Whether you call it web design or building an internet site, whether you are looking for a web designer in Zadar or someone who also builds web applications: the work is the same. Alongside presentation sites we build custom applications, from booking systems to internal tools, so the site can grow when the business does.
What you get
- A custom design, not a bought theme adapted over two days
- A site that works on a phone as well as on a screen, because most visits come from phones
- SEO groundwork: heading structure, meta descriptions, sitemap, Google Search Console submission
- Multiple languages when you target foreign guests, on separate URLs per language so each can rank on its own
- A contact form that actually reaches your inbox, with spam protection and GDPR consent
- Domain and hosting in your name, so the site stays yours
How a project runs, step by step
- Enquiry and conversation: free, in person in Zadar or over a video call. We go through what the site has to do, for whom and by when.
- Quote: within two working days, listing what is included and what is not, with no hidden items.
- Structure and design: page layout, then the look on real content rather than placeholder text. One to two weeks, depending on scope.
- Build: the site grows on a test address you can view and comment on. Changes happen here, before anything goes public.
- Launch and handover: domain, hosting and access in your name, a short training session if you will edit content yourself, and a maintenance arrangement if you want one.
Smaller presentation sites are usually done in two to three weeks from accepting the quote. The biggest factor is how quickly we get copy and photos. If you do not have them, we help: we can write the copy together, and recommend someone in Zadar for the photography.
Where we work
Most projects are in Zadar and the surrounding area: Biograd na Moru, Nin, Benkovac, Pag, Sukošan, Privlaka, Vir, Vrsi, Petrčane, Starigrad-Paklenica, Obrovac, Posedarje and Zemunik. We regularly work for clients in Šibenik, Split, Makarska, Rijeka, Opatija and Zagreb, and run some projects entirely online, so location is not an obstacle.
The sectors we know best
Tourism is the largest part of the work: apartments, villas, hotels and rent-a-car. Alongside that we build for trades and small companies, workshops, hospitality and online stores. That means the usual problems in those sectors, seasonal pricing or German-language content for example, are not something we start from scratch on.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Yes. We are based in Zadar and most projects are here, but we regularly work for clients in Šibenik, Split, Makarska, Rijeka, Opatija and Zagreb. Some projects run entirely online, with video calls instead of meetings.
It depends on the project. If you will be changing content often, WordPress or a similar CMS makes sense. If the site is presentational and changes rarely, we build it from scratch: it is then faster, safer and has no monthly plugin maintenance.
We look at what works on it and what does not. Sometimes a redesign that keeps the existing URLs and content is enough, which preserves your Google position. Sometimes starting over is cheaper and faster, with the old addresses redirected to the new ones.
Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is making it up. What we do is the technical groundwork that is the precondition: speed, structure, meta descriptions, sitemap, Google Business Profile and copy written around how people actually search. Position then grows with time and content.
You can, they are all on the Portfolio page with links to the live sites. There are no invented examples or bought templates in there.
